So I apparently write my best poetry when I am drunk and kind of angry:
Although that’s not to say I didn’t have a good time tonight. The club was wonderful. Anyway the phrases bouncing in my head.
Welcome To The Zoo:
Yeah I’m the king of the jungle,
I understand why your looking at me like that,
the jealously, the envy,
wishing you could be me,
but you came here looking for a show,
so let me show you what it’s all about.
Welcome to the zoo bitch,
Those are the chimps,
throwing their shit all over the stage,
those are the bears,
wrestling just for fun,
And those shirtless boys down on the dance floor?
Those are the lions,
looking for a kill.
Don’t get to close they just might bite,
see those manes tangling?
They’re having a good night.
So relax and sit back,
have a drink
with the freak shows and queers,
because your night at the zoo,
is almost over
and soon,
the animals will be watching you.
